DAW and Track Building

  • DJ Production Program starts with learning how to produce in your favorite DAW. We recommend Ableton since it blends so well with the DJ workflow.
  • You can check details here Ableton Live DAW course: Hands-on training in Navigation, MIDI Programming, Signal flow, Sampling, Audio Manipulation and Arranging. 
  • That said, we offer options in Logic Pro and FL Studio too. Contact us for details on switching your DAW.

Music Theory and Keyboard Proficiency

  • Music Theory and Keyboard Proficiency enables students to be proficient in communicating with collaborators and become an efficient hit maker. All Garnish LA ProductionProgram students receive these music lessons in parallel with their DAW and other technology classes.

Synthesis and Sound Design

  • Craft your unique sonic identity in the Sound Design module mastering Synthesizers and Samplers.
  • Explore industry-standard plugins (Serum, Arturia Collection) and iconic hardware (Juno 106, Moog, DX7, Mellotron) to elevate your music.
  • Go beyond Subtractive Synthesis with Granular, Additive, Wavetable, and FM synthesis, plus sampling based production techniques.
  • Learn the art of  Reverse Engineering in Sound Labs to dissect and recreate sounds from your favorite records, building your own sound libraries.
  • Tap into the growing Sound Design industry for Pop and EDM genres, Video Games, VR, Film and TV in the Ableton Production Program.

Sound Lab

  • Our Production Program is very hands on. Students work with Synthesizers in our labs and studios reverse engineering popular sounds and building their own unique sonic palette. 

DJ Performance

  • Highlight of the DJ Producer Program is the DJ Performance course. Master pro workflow from expert instructors in limited sized groups (max 5)
  • Use industry-standard Pioneer Nexus decks and Rekordbox in our cutting-edge DJ lab.
  • Excel in all popular genres EDM, House and Hip Hop

DJ Lab

  • DJ Production Program students receive hands own training working in DJ Labs and project studios. The goal is for all our students to graduate with release ready records/mixes produced state of the art studios and DJ gear.

Art of Remix

  • Finale to the DJ Production Program. Mastering the Art of Remix is one of the best paths for DJ-Producers to get noticed.
